Mandate:
Mandate for the international committee as defined by Venstre’s Executive Board:
1. The International Committee shall be a resource contributing to knowledge about and involvement in questions of foreign policy throughout the organization. The Committee shall contribute through motions for political resolutions, internal education, and open meetings.
2. The International Committee is mandated to propose and organize one yearly seminar, in connection with National Board meetings and/or the National Conference.
3. By specific request from the Executive Board, the Committee shall make reports on foreign policy issues or questions.
4. The Committee is responsible for quality control and for following up any international projects of democratization and cooperation.
5. Any measures or meetings requring costs must be approved by the Secretary General.
Mandate in Norwegian:
1. IU skal være en ressurs som bidrar til kunnskap og engasjement i utenrikspolitiske spørsmål i hele organisasjonen. IU skal bidra til dette gjennom forslag til politiske uttalelser, skoleringstiltak og åpne møter.
2. IU får i oppdrag å foreslå og arrangere ett seminar i året i forbindelse med landsstyremøter og/eller landskonferansen.
3. Etter konkret bestilling fra sentralstyret skal IU gjøre større utredninger om utenrikspolitiske saker eller spørsmål.
4. IU har ansvar for å kvalitetssikre og følge opp eventuelle demokratiseringsprosjeker.
5. Tiltak/møter som medfører kostnader, skal avklarast og godkjennast av generalsekretæren.
