The philosophy to Nøtterøy Liberal Party
We believe the good life in Nøtterøy developed by free people who take their own choices and feel responsible for the environment. We believe that decisions should be taken close to those concerned, and will therefore reduce central control. Entrepreneurial Activity, user-driven public services and freedom of choice in schools and nursery sector is important to us. We put the green values and responsibility of the community high, and with good historical ballast call ourselves an environmental party. We are the green party in Nøtterøy.

Important issues for us at this election (2011)
The environment
Nature should be used, not consumed. We will complete the coastal path around the island. We will limit the ability to convert year-round residences into holiday homes. Nature will still be accessible to all, free and freely. We will preserve Nøtterøy green. We want to have an island where the fields and recreation areas shall not be issued to new housing development that puts more pressure on open spaces and infrastructure. We want vibrant living environments throughout the municipality.
Welfare
To make it attractive for families to remain, we want to strengthen the municipal playgrounds, so that these can serve as informal gathering points for young families. We want all children who need day care, to get it when they need it, regardless of what time of year the need arise, by having real full kindergarten tire research. There shall be equality of treatment of municipal and private kindergartens. Kindergartens will compete on content and quality. Nøtterøy Liberal Party want to introduce Sunday opening of shops in tourist areas.
Infrastructure
We believe that it is high time a new connection to the mainland, and realize that it requires local co-financing through user financing. Establishment of a new road connection from Nøtterøy must also lead to traffic solutions for the Stokke, and relieve Teie and Tønsberg. Nøtterøy Liberal Party is the party for anyone who likes trains. We want to speed up the construction of double track through Vestfold, and want to add parallel tubes for train and vehicular traffic under the canal. In addition, we will work for a better public transport services.
Early life
We believe teachers should be allowed to use their time to teach, not to be officers. We want to improve school libraries, school health and swimming lessons. Being able to read is the most important prerequisite in order to acquire knowledge
